Sharing is Caring

What's mine is mine and what's yours is mine.  I have recently join AR and the world of blogging.  I am having a blast!  Who knew all of you people were here?  As a matter of fact, I have so much enthusiasm I have stopped agents, title people and the like, left and right and told them they just have to join.  I want them to reap the benefits of AR too.  I know I get points for that, but try to not invite everyone, leaving people for the newer members to be able to invite new members too.  That way everyone has a good time.  To me, the more the merrier.

Well not so fast missy!I have to laugh because some people I know get so upset that all of these agents are joining in on their little "secret world" and cramping their style.  Doesn't like it for one minute. So much so, they are going to hire people to blog for them.  I guess that is okay but I don't think it is the real person when someone else does the talking?  You tell me, I am a newbie and maybe that is the way it is done?

Isn't the point hereto benefit from advice, sharing and helping?  I have read where it has lead to referrals and I have already sent out a referral.  My philosophy is I am helping that ends up helping me too.  The Ying and the Yang of the universe?

Mom always taught us to share!  The playground of life has just increased for many of us and some us just need to stop and remember that mom said it was better to share with others than not.

Sharing comes back tenfold in the long run, too bad people don't realize that!

A Day in a Dog's Life

Hello, My name is Hutch and I am my mom, Audrey June-Forshey's, 9 year old Australian Shepherd.  I have a dad too, but he works in Biotech and mom and I aren't so sure about all of that stuff.  I like to help mom with her work.  I know she gets the job done all on her own, I am just here to help in the daily chores.

Every morning we get up, go for a walk because the world cannot rotate on it's axis until this priority is completed.  Just like mom checks her email first thing in the morning, I have P-mail to check.  It lets me know who has been in our neighborhood.  Then we have a bit of breakfast, get to the desk and get to work.  I am usually starting to stretch out and this time under mom's feet.  This helps Mom get her work done.  When mom finishes her immediate communication at her home office, she gets ready and leaves for the big office.  Sometimes I am glad she is gone for awhile.  This is my private time to take a nap.  I don't usually do this when mom is here because she keeps me busy.

When she comes home from the big office I am so excited to see her.  I really like when she has bags with food in them.  She usually gets something special for me!!  I stick my head in the bag to check everything so she doesn't forget.

Now it is time for my next walk of the day.  You never know who has been by the house while I was napping? Then we have a little dinner, play around the house.  I have to remind mom and dad at 9:00 it is time to go for one more stroll before we go to bed.  I do this by getting right in front of her view if she is watching a movie or something.  She knows when I block the TV it is 9:00, I can tell time.

Then we all go to bed, have sweet dreams until tomorrow, we start all over.  Mom and I keep busy, there are alot  of houses with yards to list and sell!

This is me with my dad!

I hope all you other dog children work as hard as I do to help move the real estate market!

Changing my website?

I am thinking about changing my website.  Currently it is through Advanced Access.  Easy templete  system for me to use and has served its purpose.  Now I think I need to change.  I am having trouble linking my website to AR?  I know I can put it in my links, but I want it to be an icon on my front page and don't think I can do that?  Am I doing something wrong or should I change to a different provider/host?

Do you all have any suggestions?  All would be appreciated!

Thanks for your support.

Out of the Blue II

Okay, okay, this is a repeat, I messed up the first verzion where no points to be scored.  Don't what I did?

Thanks for your patience with me!

So, this agent in my office comes up to me and tells me I have to sign up for this "ActiveRain" real estate network.  I said sure, what is that?  Well, I have been exploring and having a blast.  So, I have read about everything from dogs to how evil real estate agents are.  Every blog has had something to say.  I am reading admiring the writing and the support between the members and wow, "arent those graphics cool?"  So, I take a chance make a couple of comments and think, "I hope I can be like them when I grow up."

I am nervous about my first post, what do you say, will I sound like a dummy?  Then it happens, Out of the blue I get an email from an AR member encouraging me to write my first post.  I thought that was really nice of her and that was about all.  Then the next morning my phone rings and Kathy McGraw from California calls me on the phone and says I am here to help!!

I can't tell you how nice Kathy was and what a help.  I am not a techie, so she had her work cut out for her.  Kathy spent about 30 minutes on the phone with me walking me through the basics to post my blog.   She told me how to the fancy stuff, but I am not quite there!!  I can't tell you how blown away I was by her knowledge and generosity.

I got my nerve up today posted my introductory blog, it wasn't so bad.  Everyone has been so supportive.  What a great community.

Ironically Kathy placed her 100th post today as well!!

I am glad to be here!
